Inspired by the historic Bayeux Tapestry in Normandy, a group of women in Conche Newfoundland began work in 2006 on a monumental embroidered history of the French Shore. The work was designed by French artist Jean Claude Roy. Conche's talented artisans embroidered stories that cover a millennium of events that tell the compelling story of their region.
